3 Stabbed In Popular Pittsburgh Park Playground Lot

PITTSBURGH, PA ? Three men were hospitalized early Tuesday after a stabbing incident in the parking lot near the Mellon Park playground on Fifth Avenue in Shadyside.

At around 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the lot and found the stabbing victims, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials. Two men, both with stab wounds to the chest, were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. A third man was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a wrist laceration.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene. A vehicle was towed to the Auto Squad garage for further processing.

Police have not identified any suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
