Pittsburgh Restaurant Chain Abruptly Closes Local Location

PITTSBURGH, PA ? A popular Pittsburgh restaurant chain has permanently shuttered one of its locations.
Primanti Bros. has closed its Penn Avenue location in Garfield.
The closure was posted on the chain's website.

"Through the normal course of business, we continually evaluate our portfolio to ensure our restaurants have the resources to achieve their growth potential," the chain said in a statement.
"We have known this lease agreement was ending, and after careful consideration, we made the decision not to renew the lease and instead focus on our four other locations within Pittsburgh city
limits."

The other Primanti Bros. locations within the city limits are in Downtown in Market Square; the Strip District; Oakland on the University of Pittsburgh campus and on the South Side on East Carson Street.
