Big Ben's Steelers Status, CVS Goes COVID-19 & More: Weekly Wrap

PITTSBURGH, PA - The soap opera that is the current relationship between Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers certainly tops anything you’ll see these days on “The Young and the Restless.”

For weeks, the Steelers and the soon to be 39-year-old quarterback have awkwardly danced around whether Big Ben would be back behind center next season. Roethelisberger has said he wants to come back; Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert initially was noncommittal a few weeks back, largely because of the enormous amount of money Roethlisberger is due.

Roethlisberger met with team owner Art Rooney II last week, and both sides said they want him to play this season. But Rooney’s prepared statement on the meeting included mention of the necessary restructuring of the quarterback’s contract.
