Cranberry Girl Featured In Dick's Sporting Goods Commercial
Seneca Valley School District fourth-grader Mimi Skowronski's athletic grit and determination landed her the role in the commercial.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A fourth grader from Rowan Elementary School in the Seneca Valley School District had the chance to showcase her “girl power” skills in athletics on the small screen.
Mimi Skowronski of Cranberry is a football player for the Seneca Valley junior football team and when she heard from her former teacher, Rebecca Hester, that Dick’s Sporting Goods was looking for elementary-aged female athletes for a national commercial, she eagerly seized the chance to participate.
Mimi applied for the “Inside Moves” commercial that celebrates women leaders – and where she was ultimately selected and featured as a football player.

" I tried wrestling because it would help me with my tackling skills. I did not realize how fun wrestling would be and decided to stick with it. Now I love wrestling because it involves strength (mental and physical), endurance and confidence. I love both sports because I can be part of a team. They help me build confidence in myself and make me believe I can do anything.”
