Cranberry To Host Regional Pickleball Tournament
The 2021 USA Pickleball North Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship will occur this weekend.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA —The Cranberry Township Pickleball Association will host its first regional pickleball tournament, the 2021 USA Pickleball North Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, June 4-6 The event will be held at Graham Park in Cranberry Township.
The tournament marks the first time the association has hosted a sanctioned qualifying tournament for the USA Pickleball National Championships. Event winners will gain a “Golden Ticket” granting them the opportunity to play in the Nationals.
According to The Economist, pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the United States. A cross between tennis, badminton and ping-pong, it is easy to learn, affordable to play and fun for all ages and levels.

More than 500 players from the five-state region will travel to Cranberry for a chance to earn an
automatic bid to the National Tournament in California later this year. Nineteen courts are available for tournament play, with four additional temporary courts in place for warm-ups.
Seating is limited and participants are advised to bring their own chairs.
