Fire Destroys Popular Pittsburgh-Area Restaurant
A Pittsburgh-area eatery was leveled by an overnight fire.
MURRYSVILLE, PA — An overnight fire destroyed the Spaghetti and Steakhouse, a community staple for more than three decades.
"Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and support from our community during this difficult time. We are in shock and we are devastated but thankful no one was hurt in this tragedy," a post on the restaurant's Facebook page stated.
"Second, to the amazing work of volunteer volunteer firefighters (Murrysville, Export, Delmont, Claridge, Forbes Road, and White Valley, & Harrison City) thank you, thank you, thank you. we will be forever grateful and an awe over the amazing sacrifice you make, from climbing out of bed at 3:30 AM to fight a blaze to staying with our family as we watched in horror to what happened to our family “home” all in the name of being a good neighbor.

"The Spaghetti & Steak House has been in our family since 1963 when it was built by our great uncle Joe, and in 1989 when Monica bought it and built it over the last 32 years to be what it became. We don’t know what’s next for our family but we know will make it through - because that’s what we do. Again thank you for all the support, love, and patronage we’ve had throughout this amazing 32 years. It’s known that whoever passed through those doors was not just a customer but considered family."
