Former Pittsburgh DJ Dies Suddenly
A former Pittsburgh disc jockey died unexpectedly this week.
ALTOONA, PA — Former Pittsburgh disc jockey Caleb James died Tuesday at the age of 58. His death was announced on the industry trade website Radio and Music Pros.
James, whose real name was Harvey Rairie, worked nights at WHTX-FM (now 96.1 KISS) in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
For the last 25 years, he had been a staple in the Altoona market. Most recently, he worked mornings at WBRX (Mix 94.7) until last year, when he has to leave the station for health reasons.
