Former WPXI-TV News Anchor Dies
The news anchor worked at WPXI for more than three decades.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Former WPXI-TV anchor Ron Jaye died Saturday, the station announced. He was 86.
A Buffalo native, Jaye worked at WPXI-TV from 1965-2000, with a break in the 1980s as the
"Man-on-the-Move" at WTAE-AM . At WIIC-TV (WPXI's former call letters), Jaye hosted the first call-in late night television talk show.
According to his obituary on the WPXI website, Jaye began his broadcasting career in 1958 as a disc jockey in New York.
