Giant Eagle Launches Free Thanksgiving Turkey Promotion

PITTSBURGH, PA ? Giant Eagle on Thursday launched a promotion that will provide shoppers with loyalty cards free Thanksgiving turkeys.

From now through Nov. 9, if you spend more than $300 at a Giant Eagle, you can get a small turkey weighing 8 to 15.99 pounds. If you spend more than $400, you can get a large turkey weighing 16 pounds or more.

When you reach the spend and earn goal, Giant Eagle will load the free turkey onto your loyalty card.

The average price of a Giant Eagle turkey currently is $1.89 per pound, so if you got a free 20-pound turkey you would save the purchase price of $37.80.
