Good Friday 2021: What's Open, Closed In And Around Pittsburgh

Here's a list of Good Friday closings in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Some Allegheny County will be closed on Friday in observance of Good Friday.

The offices of the Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania and court-related offices, including the District Attorney’s office, divisions of the sheriff’s office, the Department of Court Records and county council will be closed.

The treasurer’s office and controller’s office will be open. In the sheriff’s office, the real estate and civil process sections will be open.

All offices under the jurisdiction of the county executive will be open during regular business hours, with the following exception: In the Department of Court Records, the
marriage license-passport office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

North Park and South Park golf courses will be open normal hours (dawn to dusk).

Special Events is hosting “Drive-In Movies” for a free showing of “Hop” (PG) at the Boyce Park Wave Pool Parking Lot. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at dusk. This event is free and will be first-come, first-served. Capacity is limited to 100 vehicles per movie.

City of Pittsburgh offices and Citiparks facilities will be closed on Friday.

Refuse, bulk waste and recycling collection on Friday will continue as scheduled. However drop-off recycling facilities at DPW divisions will be closed.

Citiparks facilties and food distribution schedules will be impacted from April 2 through April 4: Senior Centers and recreation centers will be closed on Friday. The regular Grab 'n Go meal schedule will resume on April 5.
