Health Department Closes Three Allegheny County Restaurants

The Allegheny County Health Department has shut down one Pittsburgh restaurant and two suburban ones.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered three restaurants to close for health violations.

Fujiya Ramen on South Aiken Avenue in Shadyside was shut down for a lack of properly functioning and appropriate refrigeration; foods stored at unsafe temperatures; unsafe cooling of prepared food; bare-hand contact with food that is ready to eat; hands not washed in appropriate sinks; hand

washing sinks blocked; failure to monitor food and refrigeration temperatures; Dishwasher not sanitizing and mop water disposed in utensil washing-food preparation sink.

Sweet Temptatations on Chalfonte Avenue in West View and Molly O's on Chartiers Avenue in Pittsburgh's Sheraden neighborhood were ordered to close because they lacked a valid health permit.
