PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered Billy's Carolina Food Company in Castle Shannon to close.

According to the health department website, the eatery was open and operating without a health permit, serving food from an unapproved source, had a lack of ware washing and hand washing facilities, no overhead protection and failed to submit operating plans to the health department.

"I am sad to say we will have to close until the 15th of June due to some technical difficulties and structural issues," a message on Billy's Facebook page stated Sunday. "We will be back and we
appreciate all your support."
