JetBlue Mandates Face Coverings For All Passengers
JetBlue is the first airline to mandate masks for every customer.

PITTSBURGH, PA - JetBlue customers at Pittsburgh International Airport should prepare for change. Beginning May 4, all JetBlue customers will be required to wear a face covering while traveling.
The new policy will require customers to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their journey, including during check-in, boarding, while in flight and deplaning. The policy is modeled after Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines recommending people wear masks in public to help stem the flow of coronavirus.
JetBlue is the first major airline to mandate masks for its passengers.

““Wearing a face covering isn’t about protecting yourself it’s about protecting those around jou," Joanna Geraghty, the airline's president, said in a release. "This is the new flying etiquette. Onboard, cabin air is well circulated and cleaned through filters every few minutes but this is a shared space where we have to be considerate of others."
Customers will be reminded of the new policy before their flight via email and at the terminal by both signage and announcements. Small children who are not able to maintain a face covering are exempt from the requirement.
