Kenny Chesney Heinz Field Concert Postponed Until 2022

The country music star has postponed his entire tour until next year.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Kenny Chesney has cancelled his June 12 Heinz Field concert this year and pushed back his entire Chillaxification Tour until 2022 because of the coronavirus outbreak. The singer announced the moves Monday.

Chesney said the cancellation was due to continued capacity restrictions at venues.

"We have waited for so long, I can’t play knowing I would disappoint a portion of No Shoes
Nation who wouldn’t be able to get into the stadiums and the amphitheaters," Chesney said on Twitter.

"There’s no way around that this year. As much I hate postponing further, I would hate telling people who waited we won’t be able to let them come due to capacity restrictions. That's just not fair."

The exact date of the rescheduled Heinz Field show will be announced later.
