Man Shot Multiple Times In The Back In Pittsburgh

Police said the shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on Saturday.

PITTSBURGH, PA ? A man is dead after Pittsburgh police said he was shot multiple times in the back early Saturday morning.

According to authorities, officers responded to the 100 block of Hazlett Street in Northview Heights just before 1 a.m. after receiving a four-round ShotSpotter alert.

When officers arrived, they found a man inside a residence suffering from several gunshot wounds to the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner?s office identified the victim as 38-year-old Laron Harrison, according to a WPXI report.

Detectives from Pittsburgh's Violent Crime Unit are investigating the shooting.
