Memorial Day 2021: What's Open, Closed Around Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — All Allegheny County offices – including the independently elected offices,
courts, and county council, will be closed Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The North Park and South Park golf courses will be open dawn to dusk on Memorial Day. Golf Course Concessions will be open normal hours, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All county parks administration offices and the Hartwood Acres Mansion will be closed.

All offices and parks facilities will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday.

City of Pittsburgh offices will be closed and refuse collection will not occur on the holiday.

Food distribution by the Department of Parks and Recreation will be suspended as well, though extra meals are being issued to seniors Friday in advance of the holiday.

There will be no refuse, bulk waste or recycling collection on Monday and collection will be pushed back one day for the rest of the week. If the scheduled day of collection is Monday, people will be serviced Tuesday; Those usually serviced Tuesday will be serviced Wednesday; and so on through the week.

City senior centers and recreation centers will be closed. The Grab ‘n Go Meal Schedule will accommodate seniors with extra meals on Friday and the regular schedule will resume June 2.
