PA State Trooper Stabbed To Death Along Montour Trail
The man stabbed to death Monday on the Montour Trail was an off-duty state police liquor control officer.

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA ? Pennsylvania State Police on Tuesday said the man stabbed to death on the Montour Trail Monday was an off-duty state police liquor control enforcement officer.
"The Pennsylvania State Police is heartbroken to confirm the tragic loss of one of our own, dedicated Liquor Enforcement Officer Benjamin Brallier, who was fatally stabbed while off-duty yesterday," state police Commissioner Co. Christopher Paris said in a statement. "With over 20 years of service, he was an exemplary officer and a devoted father and husband."
Brallier, of Coraopolis, was 44. Police found him with stab wounds around 3 p.m. along the Mountour Trail near the 1900 block of Hassam Road. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police on Tuesday arrested Anthony Quesen, 25, and charged him with criminal homicide in connection with Brallier's death.
Police found Quesen about a third of a mile from the crime scene, with cuts on his hands and blood stains on his clothes.

Police have not disclosed a motive for the killing.
