Pirates Detail Plans To Admit Fans To PNC Park This Season
Here's how to get tickets to see the Pirates at one of baseball's best ballparks.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pirates on Thursday announced plans to have fans in attendance at PNC Park this season beginning with the April 8 home opener. With ballpark capacity limited to 20 percent to start the season, tickets will be made available on an approximate month-to-month basis.
Tickets now are on sale online for full- half- and partial-season ticket holders, partial flex plan ticket holders and other ticket account holders.
The Pirates will then allow other loyal fans the opportunity to take part in the second phase of exclusive pre-sales. Groups in this phase will include all Pirates suite holders, corporate partners, Pirates social media followers, Pirates.com registered users and others.

All remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on March 17.
The Pirates are planning for approximately 20-percent capacity per game throughout the ballpark, with tickets being made available in seating pod allotments of two and four per transaction. All seating arrangements will have the recommended six-foot distance between pods throughout the stadium.

To limit touch points, the Pirates will make digital delivery of tickets the method for all fans to receive their tickets. This delivery method will take place via the MLB App, a free mobile app available in the Apple and Google Play stores.
The 12 games being made available during the initial on-sale span the first two homestands of the season. The home opener is April 8 against the Chicago Cubs.
