Here's a list of summer camps for kids happening around Pittsburgh this year.

PITTSBURGH, PA — After a year when too many traditions have had to be canceled for coronavirus safety, summer camps for kids are back on this year. The state has issued updated guidance on how these camps can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

There are several options to keep the kids busy this summer around Pittsburgh, including town-sponsored camps, arts camps, sports camps and more.

  • JCC Pittsburgh: Offers Performing Arts Camp and a variety of specialty camps such as Band Camp, Basketball Camp and Outdoor Explorations Venture Outdoors Camp.
  • Carnegie Science Center: Offers a variety of camps that focus on topics such as astronomy, art, chemistry, LEGO bricks and technology.
  • National Aviary: Through guided learning sessions, interactive activities, and up-close

    encounters, campers will explore the adaptations that make birds so extraordinary.
