Pittsburgh Attorney Jason Richey Announces Gubernatorial Bid
A Pittsburgh attorney has announced his intent to succeed Gov. Tom Wolf.
PITTSBURGH, PA , Jason Richey, a partner at Pittsburgh's K&L Gates law firm, announced Thursday he will run for governor in 2022. Current Gov. Tom Wolf will finish his second term next year and is ineligible to run for a third term.
"Growing up in Aliquippa, I witnessed firsthand the impact that economic downturn and lack of
opportunity can have on our residents," Richey said Thursday in a news relsase.
"For 40 years, too many communities have faced similar struggles as we've watched the state's
mismanagement lead to nothing but the growth of more government and the
continuous decline of our state's economy. We need a change now."
