Pittsburgh Best City In PA For Bicyclists: Study

A new analysis has concluded that Pittsburgh is among the nation's top cities for bicyclists.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh ranks as the safest city for cyclists in Pennsylvania and 18th overall in America, based on our analysis of cyclist safety laws, infrastructure efforts, and more.
That’s a change in ranking since Pittsburgh placed nationally as ninth in a 2019 report.

To determine the safest and least safe US cities for bikers, YourLocalSecurity.com gathered data from Census.gov, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, People for Bikes, and The League of American Bicyclists to find the percentage of bike commuters, number of fatal crashes,
amount of bike lanes, what bike laws are in place or are being created in each city, and city spending on cyclists per capita, respectively.
