The Iron City Beer manufacturer will again brew the iconic beer and other brands in the Pittsburgh area.

EAST DEER, PA — The Pittsburgh Brewing Company plans to build a new brewrey on the site of the former PPG Glass Works plant. The iconic Iron City Beer and the company's other brands could be manufactured there as early as next year.

Some demolition work already has begun at the site, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported.

Iron City and the company's other brands were brewed at a Lawrencville brewery until 2009, when brewing was contracted out and occurred in the former Latrobe Brewery where Rolling Rock beer once was manufactured.
