Pittsburgh Could See Severe Storms Thursday
The National Weather Service says there is a risk of severe weather in southwestern Pennsylvania on Thursday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening as a cold front passes through the area. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts.
As much as three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible today. The high will be near 70. A quarter of an inch of rain is possible overnight.
On Friday, expect scattered showers and cooler temperatures, with a high in the upper 50s. There also will be wind gusts as high as 36 mph.

Temperatures will rebound over the weekend, with Saturday's high in the mid-60s and Sunday's high in the upper 70s.
A cold front will begin to push eastward today. A couple disturbances will travel northeast along the front. This will bring rounds of showers and some isolated thunderstorms to the region.
