Pittsburgh International Airport Debuts Economy Parking Lot

For the budget conscious, this might be the lot to park in when going to the airport - if you don't mind a bit of a walk.

FINDLAY, TOWNSHIP, PA — For the first time in nearly 30 years, Pittsburgh International
Airport is offering a new parking option. Geared toward budget-minded customers, the economy lot is located adjacent to the extended lot and costs $7.

No shuttle service is available for the economy lot, but airport officials say people can walk to the moving walkway in under 10 minutes, providing a contact-free experience to the passenger terminal.

The entrance to the economy lot is just before the extended lot entrance.

The airport also plans to add for new pre-pay stations in the landside terminal, two in baggage claim and one along the moving walkway and one by the parking shuttle. Airport officials are encouraging customers to use these pay stations, although paying by credit card at the main exit turnstiles still is permissible. Cash customers must use the pay stations.
