Kate Barr of Bridgeville leaves behind three other children.

PITTSBURGH, PA — On May 12, Kate Barr found out she had the coronavirus. A day later, she gave birth to her fourth child, a girl named Isla June.
On Sunday, Ms. Barr, of 39, of Bridgeville, passed away from complications of the virus. She had been in and out of consciousness for the past three weeks in UPMC Presbyterian in Oakland and on an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine in the hospital's intensive care unit.
"She fought with every breath in her body but was unable to overcome this terrible virus," a friend, Julie Swiatek, said on the GoFundMe page she created to help Ms. Barr's family. "She leaves behind (her boyfriend) Ty and four beautiful children. I will never forget her contagious smile and the infinite love for her family."
