Pittsburgh One Of Nation's Worst City For Tacos, Study Says
A new report is highly critical of the quality of Pittsburgh tacos, which frankly is absurd.
PITTSBURGH, PA ? Pittsburgh is one of the nations worst cities for taco lovers, a new study by RealEstateWith.com has concluded.
The only cities that were worse were Cleveland and Boston.
The bottom 10 cities in our study aren?t great for taco lovers because of limited options and high prices. On average, these cities have only 0.88 taco restaurants per 100,000 people, which is 61 percent fewer than the average city in the study (2.3).

Furthermore, taco supplies for three to four people tend to be more expensive in these cities, costing an average of $26.40, or 9 percent more than the average city ($24.28).
The real estate website based its rankings on information from the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Yelp, Numbeo and Google Trends.

Patch respectfully disagrees with the study. Your correspondent knows a number of fine taco joints around town, including:
- Bull River Taco Co., Squirrel Hill, Whitehall and White Oak.
- Shorty's, North Shore and The Waterfront.
- Condado, Downtown, East Liberty, Lawrenceville, South Hills, McCandless and Cranberry.
- Las Palmas, Brookline and Beechview.
- La Palapa, South Side.
What's your favorite Pittsburgh taco spot? Patch is curious.
