Pittsburgh To See Heavy Rain Thursday
July begins with a washout - persistent precipitation that will be accompanied by much cooler temperatures.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Heavy rain will impact Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania on Thursday. The National Weather Service predicts as much as two inches of rain falling on ground already saturated from yesterday's severe storms.
However, as of Thursday morning, the region had no severe weather or flood alerts.
There is a 100 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Expect much cooler temperatures with a high only in the low 70s - about 10 degrees below normal.

The precipitation will diminish after 8 p.m., with gradual clearing expected overnight. But there's a 40 percent chance of rain on Friday, with a high again in the low 70s.
The early 4th of July forecast: Mostly sunny with a high in the low 80s.
