Popular Pittsburgh DJ Leaving Town
After nearly 15 years, the DJ and program director of one of the city's top radio stations is headed elsewhere.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A popular Pittsburgh DJ who doubles as his radio station's program director is leaving town at the end of next week.
Country music station Froggy-104.3's Dave Anthony, who goes by the on-air name of David Hopperfield, will relinquish his program director and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on-air shift to run a group of stations in South Carolina, the Beaver County Times reported.
According to his biography on the station website, Anthony has been in radio since 1978. The Ambridge, Beaver County native programmed stations in Texas, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, Lancaster and Harrisburg before joining Froggy in 2007.
