Portions Of Pittsburgh Under Flush & Boil Water Advisory
The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority has issued the advisory for several Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority has issued a flush and boil water advisory for several city neighborhoods following a 16-inch water main break Friday morning on Grace Street in Mt. Washington.
The advisory is in effect for:
- Crafton Heights
- Duquesne Heights
- Elliott
- Mt. Washington
- Ridgemont
- West End
- Westwood
Although pressure has been restored to these areas, a water pressure loss can enable contaminants to enter the water.

The approximately 5,600 households in the advisory area can be located here.
Water buffaloes will be placed at the following locations for affected customers:

- 150 Meridan Street, Mt. Washington.
- Intersection of Grace Street at Kearsarge Street (Rite Aid parking lot), Mt. Washington.
- 725 Ridgemont Street, Ridgemont.
- Hassler Street (Herschel Field parking lot), West End.
The authority will conduct testing to confirm adequate disinfectant levels and verify that the water is safe to consume.
