Pittsburgh Pug Says 'Sorry,' Internet Falls In Love
The apology, posted on Twitter, has given the pooch celebrity status.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Charleston Chew only meant to apologize to his new neighbors in a Downtown Pittsburgh apartment building. The aging pug probably never thought that saying he was sorry would turn him into a celebrity.
Charleston’s owner, Sharla Wilson, posted the apology on the door of her apartment as if the dog had written it. The apology explains that Charleston is old, has cataracts and gets scared when he can’t see where he is or cant find his “mom.”
“As I get used to my new place, I will start to settle down,” the pug pledged. “Thanks for being patient with me. I don’t mean to be such a pain.”

Megan Jones, a tenant in the building, saw the apology, took a photo of it and tweeted it, saying, “You howl all you want, Charleston honey.” In the 10 days since the tweet was posted, it has received 449,000 likes and has been retweeted 121,000 times.
Asked if she expected the tweet to go viral, Jones told Patch, “No way. It’s crazy. I’m so glad Charleston is receiving so much love.”

Charleston also now has his own Twitter handle and just twetted another mea culpa.
“I’m also very sorry for going potty in the middle of 7th St. recently and stopping all the traffic while mom cleaned up,” the tweet stated “Pittsburgh, you’re so nice to me.”
