Ross Park Mall Ends Halloween Trick-Or-Treat Tradition

If you want candy at the mall this Halloween, you'll have to purchase it.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ross Park Mall is ending its mallwide trick-or-treat event on Halloween, instead opting for a “Monster Bash” in which no candy will be distributed.

The Monster Bash will occur Oct. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the center court. Activities will include a dance party, Halloween photo booth, caricature artists and other ghoulish and family-friendly activities.

The decision to end trick or treating occurred after consulting with stores and shoppers, mall owner Simon Property Group said in a statement. Simon noted that nearby communities that will have trick-or-treating include Ross, McCandless, Cranberry, Sewickley and the city of Pittsburgh.
