Some Pittsburgh Pools Won't Open This Year

PITTSBURGH, PA ? While the city will open 16 pools on June 16th, two will remain closed this year.
Pools that will open are Ream, Ammon, Banksville, Bloomfield, Highland Park, Jack Stack, Magee, McBridge, Moore, Ormsby, Phillips, Riverview, Schenley, Sue Murray, West Penn and Westwood.
"Thanks to the continued hard work and dedication of the CitiParks team in recruiting and hiring lifeguards for the 2025 Pool Season, we?re proud to open 16 pools this summer," Mayor Ed Gainey said in a statement. "Their efforts ensure our communities have safe, welcoming spaces to cool off, gather, and enjoy the season."

Two pools will remain closed due to park and pool renovations. Homewood due to the major park renovation happening in Homewood Park and Sharaden, which requires a number of pool and pool building renovations.

12 ? 1 PM: Adult Lap Swim
1 - 7 PM: Open Swim
7 ? 7:45 PM: Adult Lap Swim
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays
12 ? 1 PM: Adult Lap Swim
1 ? 5:45 PM: Open Swim
*Highland early Adult Lap Swim will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM.
**Due to size & capacity limitations, Schenley Pool is unable to host lap swim.
