Steelers, Pittsburgh CLO Partner To Bring Broadway To Heinz Field
The Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and the Steelers are teaming to have two outdoor shows this summer.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Coronavirus-related restrictions will keep the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera from holding performances at the Benedum Center again this year. But that won't stop the CLO from celebrating its 75th anniversary in grand style.
The CLO is partnering with the Steelers to have two outdoor musical theater performances outdoors at Heinz Field.
A CLO production of "The Wizard of Oz" will run July 8-10. "Pittsburgh CLO's 75th Anniversary: A Broadway Musical Celebration" will occur July 21-24 and feature songs and music from shows such as "An American In Paris," "Dreamgirls," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "The Color Purple," "In The Heights," "The Student Prince," a salute to Rodgers & Hamerstein and more.
