WTAE-TV Adds New 4 P.M. Newscast
The station is adding an afternoon newscast and shifting the time slots of several syndicated programs.

PITTSBURGH, PA — WTAE-TV debuts a new hour-long 4 p.m. afternoon newscast Tuesday, with Andrew Stockey, Kelly Sasso and meteorologist Jeff Verszyla anchoring the program.
The coronavirus outbreak is largely responsible for the new programming, according to WTAE-TV president and general manager Charles Wolfertz III.
“Viewers schedules have changed since the pandemic, we determined now is a perfect opportunity to provide those viewers with additional time options to watch Pittsburgh’s Action News 4,” he said in a post on the station's website.
