Open House and Wellness Fair at PSCC

The open house and wellness fair takes place Friday, Sept. 20, at Plum Senior Community Center
  • Demonstrations of various fitness classes available at the center: yoga, tai chi, aerobics, SilverSneakers and more!
  • Guests from local wellness organizations
  • Health Screenings including Fall Risk Assessments
  • Demonstrations
  • Giveaways & Raffles

Schenley Shuffle 5k/1-mile Fun Walk+Brunch

This timed race Saturday, Sept. 21, at Bartlett Grove, Schenley Park, Oakland benefits Open Your Heart to a Senior, a volunteer organization that helps seniors in Allegheny County remain safe in their homes by providing friendly visits, safety checks, rides to appointments, and more. 
Registration for the run and brunch is $20, for the 1-mile walk and brunch is $15, or free for OYHS 

Soergel Orchards Fall Festival

The festival begin Saturday, Sept 21 and continue through Sunday, Oct. 27.  

The festivals are so popular, they have prompted the Franklin Park Police department to issue a warning about traffic congestion on Interstate 79, Route 910, and Brandt School Road.

The festivals are every weekend from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free.
