ESPN Hires Plum Native, Former NFL Punter Pat McAfee

PLUM, PA - Plum can be proud of one of its own. Plum High School graduate and former NFL punter Pat McAfee has been hired as an ESPN college football analyst.
McAfee, who considered a return to the NFL, will be a color analyst on Thursday night college football prime time games, as well as make regular appearances on the ESPN morning show "Get UP." McAfee and Matt Hasselbeck will team on the Thursday broadcasts.
McAfee, 32, attended West Virginia University and played eight seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts. McAfee retired from football in February 2017 and since has worked as a football and wrestling analyst and has performed as a stand-up comedian.

Just last week, McAfee started a GoFundMe page to aid relief efforts following recent flooding in Plum, promising to match up to $15,000 in donations. As of Monday, the page has received $5,200 in pledges.
