Former Plum Substitute Teacher Charged With Sex With Minor

The alleged incident occurred in 2016.

PLUM, PA - A former substitute teacher in the Plum Borough School District has been charged in connection with a 2016 incident in which he allegedly had sex with a minor.

Louis Thon, 25, faces charges of statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12 before District Judge Linda Zucco.

WTAE-TV reported a district administrator was alerted in March by a parent about the alleged contact between the minor and Thon, a Kelly Educational Staffing employee working as a long-term Plum substitute. The administrator notified authorities and Thon was immediately barred from campus.
