Obituary - Samuel L. Amodeo

On Saturday, May 18, 2013, Samuel L. Amodeo, of Oakmont, died at the age of 74. 

Samuel was the beloved husband of Kaaren L. Amodeo; loving father of Sherry Farina (Nick), Michael Amodeo, Rosie Biondo (Peter), Kay Janflone (Tony), Jon L. Amodeo (Miriam) and Suzanne Amodeo; dear brother of Roseanne McNeil (Chuck) and the late Katherine. 

Mr. Amodeo was a graduate of St. James Grade School in Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School in Oakland, class of ’56 where he was the first 3^rd baseman in CCHS history.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as Senior Vice President of Giant Eagle supermarkets after 40 years of service, also a member of St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont and the Oakmont Country Club where he was chairman of the Senior Swat. 

Friends will be received Monday, May 20^th from  2-4 & 5-8 pm in the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA, 15139.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 21^st at 10 am in St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont.  Interment will be private.
