PA House Minority Leader Frank Dermody Concedes Election

After nearly three decades in the House, longtime state Rep. Frank Dermody has been voted out of office.

OAKMONT, PA — Pennsylvania House Minority Leader Frank Dermody has been ousted by Republican challenger and Oakmont councilwoman Carrie DelRosso. Dermody has conceded the race.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of State website, DelRosso had 12,038 votes to Dermody's 11,072.

Dermody, 69, is a former Allegheny County assistant district attorney. He has served in the House since 1991.

DelRosso run her own public affairs and marketing company that has served the Riverview School District, Verona and Plum boroughs, Penn Hills School District, and other private sector clients.

An 18-year Oakmont resident, DelRosso has been a borough council member since 2017.

DelRosso will represent the 33rd Legislative District in northeastern Allegheny County. The district includes Brackenridge, Cheswick, East Deer, Fawn, Frazer, Harmar, Harrison, Indiana, Oakmont, part of Plum, Springdale, Tarentum and West Deer.
