PA State Trooper Allegedly Threatened Wife With Gun: Report

The alleged incident happened at the couple's home.

PLUM, PA - A man was arrested after allegedly threatening his wife with her gun at their Plum residence. Scott Mang is charged with felony aggravated assault and unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Neighbors told WTAE-TV that Mang is a Pennsylvania State Trooper. A news release from the Pennsylvania State Police lists a Scott Mang as a 2011 graduate of the State Police Academy.

WTAE reported that police were called to Mangs’ home on Douglas Fir Drive, where Danielle Mang told them her husband broke down the bathroom door while she was in the room, confiscated her phone and threatened her with the gun from her nightstand.

Danielle Mang fled to a neighbor’s house, where she called 911. Danielle Mang told police she and her husband had been drinking and watching TV prior to the altercation, WTAE reported.
