Plum High School Alleged Football Altercation: No Charges Filed
The Allegheny County District Attorney's Office investigated the alleged confrontation between a Plum assistant coach and a football player.

PLUM BOROUGH, PA - An alleged confrontation between a Plum High School football player and assistant football coach will not result in any charges being filed. The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office told WTAE-TV Tuesday that it reviewed the incident and found no basis for charges.
The assistant coach, Laquentin Smith, had denied he assaulted the player in a locker room incident with the 16-year-old player on Sept. 28 after Plum lost to Penn-Trafford, 45-3. Smith told WTAE that he was trying to calm the player after he had been disciplined on the field when the teen went after him.
David Shrager, an attorney representing the teen and his family, had released photos of bruises on the boy's body that he said was evidence of an assault. Smith's attorney, Phil DiLucente, told WTAE the teenage likely received the marks from equipment worn during the game.
