Plum High School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Conduct With Student
A Plum Borough teacher was arraigned on charges of sexual misconduct with an 18-year-old female student.

A Plum High School teacher was charged with having inappropriate sexual conduct with an 18-year-old female student Wednesday.
Jason Edward Cooper, 38, of Monroeville, was arraigned on Wednesday, Feb. 11, on charges of institutional sexual assault, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Additionally, Cooper, a chemistry teacher at Plum Senior High School, has been charged with corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
The inappropriate conduct allegedly occurred at both the high school and a private home, the Post-Gazette reported.

During the course of the investigation into Cooper, police reportedly uncovered information about a separate teacher-student relationship at the high school, involving a second teacher and different female student, the Post-Gazette reported. An investigation into these allegation is ongoing, police said.
Cooper has been suspended with pay. According to the Post-Gazette, Cooper posted $25,000 bond and was released from the Allegheny County Jail on Wednesday.
