Woman Embezzled $191,000 From Former Employer: Indictment

She faces a potentially lengthy prison sentence and fine if convicted.

PLUM, PA - A federal grand jury has indicted the former controller of an Export packaging company on charges she embezzled $191,000 from the company. The eight-count indictment against Victoria Mazur, 51, of McKim Drive, Plum, charges her with wire fraud.

According to the indictment, from approximately December 2012 until December 2017, Mazur embezzled funds the Gateway Packaging Corporation by processing fraudulent refunds through the employer’s point of sale terminal used to process credit and debit card transactions for customers.

Mazur faces a sentence of as much as of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each wire fraud count.
