$1.7M Whitemarsh Area Infrastructure Projects Near Completion
Seven infrastructure projects around the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area, totaling around $1.7 million in investments, are nearing completion.

WHITEMARSH, PA — Seven infrastructure projects around the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area, totaling around $1.7 million in investments, are nearing completion.
The projects, organized by Aqua Pennsylvania, are aimed at increasing water service reliability, increasing water flow for firefighting usage, and reducing discolored water in the area.
In Whitemarsh, crews are replacing 3,210 feet of six-inch cast iron water mains with new eight-inch ductile iron pipes.

And on another stretch of main in Whitemarsh and nearby Conshohocken, about 2,632 feet of six-inch cast iron main is being replaced with eight-inch ductile iron pipe.
The work impacts the following areas, Aqua said:

- Cedar Grove Road between Joshua Road and East Hector Street
- East Hector Street between Cedar Grove Road and North Lane
- Station Avenue between Cedar Grove Road and East Hector Street
- Hallowell Street between East 13th and East 12th avenues
- East 12th Avenue between Hallowell and Righter streets
- Jones Street between East 12th and East 13th avenues
- East 13th Avenue between Jones and Pine streets
Porjects are anticipated to be completed by Jan. 2019.
The projects are part of a larger $2.6 million in investments made in this part of the county by Aqua Pennsylvania.
