CHELTENHAM, PA — A homicide investigation is underway after a 28-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in Cheltenham, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 9:12 p.m. on the 400 block of West Glenside Avenue.

The man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, the District Attorney's Office said. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Identification of the victim is pending notification of his family.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. No arrests have been made.
