Adorable Pet Of The Week: Peako, Star Of Montco SPCA

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — There are no shortage of options for the adorable, adoptable pet of the week in Montgomery County, but Peako is getting the nod on this April Fools Day.

The 10-year-old domestic long-hair has a gleam of trickery in his eye, but he's touted by his caretakers at Montgomery County SPCA for his sociability. He is "good with men, women, and children," they write.

Peako has had a challenging life. His first family was unable to provide care and housing for him, and his second family moved and was unable to bring Peako along for the journey. Alas, he rearrived at the SPCA's Conshohocken facility on March 2.

So he's been through the ringer, but he's still come out "super friendly" on the other side. And another important note for adoption aficionados: Peako gets rave reviews in the litter box department.

Because he has such lengthy, luxurious fur, Peako may need some assistance with grooming every once in a while. This will help him keep hairballs at bay.
