Colonial School District New Middle School Finishing Touches: Submit Your Photos And Ideas For New CMS Murals

As the new Colonial Middle School (CMS) building project is coming together, the District is in the process of finalizing some of the interior finishes to be included in the new building. These finishes will include photos, quotes and graphics that will inspire the new generations of CMS students.

We'd like to invite all Colonial stakeholders to submit ideas, falling within the guidelines bulleted below, for these finishes. Please note all submitted photographs, quotes or other ideas will be screened by a CMS team, and then recommendations will be passed forward to the Colonial Board of School Directors. Additionally, please understand that we will not be crediting individuals for any submissions that are ultimately chosen.

Please review the bulleted needs/guidelines below if you would like to contribute:

• We'd like the murals to represent the history of the Colonial School District townships and associated communities, particularly through photographs of notable landmarks from the past or present day. The image file size should be at least 100-150 ppi (pixels per inch). Do not compress files when submitting. Files can be .jpg or .tif.
• We'd like to showcase inspirational quotes throughout the building. Please submit quotes that are meaningful to you and that you believe will inspire others. Please include the author's name with any quotes you submit.
• We want our new building to highlight our commitment to creating an environment that is inclusive and embraces diversity. Any graphics, quotes, or other ideas that you believe would send this message are welcomed for submission.
