Daughter Killed Parents, Then Herself In Montco Home: DA

Authorities have released the cause of death for the bodies found inside a Montgomery County home on Monday.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A Montgomery County woman killed both of her parents before killing herself, the District Attorney's Office said on Thursday.

The bodies of Robert McIntyre, 71, and Sheila Dolan, 71, were found inside their home near their daughter, Julia McIntyre, 27, on Monday, Nov. 18.

Circumstances leading up to the tragedy remain unclear.

Robert McIntyre died of stab wounds to the neck, and a blunt impact injury to his head, the Coroner's Office found.

Dolan, meanwhile, also suffered a wound to her neck, as well as multiple injuries to her head, according to the Coroner's Office.

Julia McIntyre then stabbed herself in the neck, authorities said.

Police were called to the home on the 100 block of Erdenheim Road at around 7:55 p.m. Monday, by someone asking for a wellness check at the residence.

The quiet, residential block sits within the Springfield's Erdenheim section. It's just a short distance from Morris Arboretum and La Salle College High School.
