Father’s Day Golf Outing Benefits Neonatal Intensive Care Units
The Parents Advisory Network and the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of area hospitals will hold the 17th-Annual Golf Outing, Silent Auction and Dinner Dance June 14.
This Father’s Day weekend, golfers will have the opportunity to participate in a charitable event that will raise money to improve the quality of care provided to the sick infants of the area.
As stated in a press release, The Parent’s Advisory Network and the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU’s) of Main Line Health; Bryn Mawr, Lankenau, and Paoli Hospitals will hold the 17th-Annual Golf Outing, Silent Auction and Dinner Dance, June 14 at the Springfield Country Club, located at 400 W. Sproul Road in Springfield.
According to the release, the event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organizing members, whose goal this year is to purchase a vented hood for the neonatal pharmacy staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital, used to assist the staff in preparation of probiotics for premature babies. This medical device reduces a serious complication of the infants called necrotizing enterocolitis or NEC.
