Houlihan's Partners with Purrfect Paws Rescue to Give Back
The Plymouth Meeting restaurant is giving 10 percent of each check to the local animal rescue Thursday.
Still need to grab some lunch? Did you forget to plan something for dinner? Thursday only, you have the perfect excuse. You just wanted to support pets.
Plymouth Meeting Houlihan's, located at the corner of Germantown Avenue and Hickory Road, across from the Plymouth Meeting Mall, is offering 10 percent of all its intake on Thursday to a local pet rescue.
Purrfect Paws Rescue, a no cage, no shelter, no kill facility, is positioned in the restaurant's lobby for the entire day Thursday to inform Houlihan's customers about all it does to rescue cats and kittens. The rescue is located in Drexel Hill, and is a non-profit with 501(c)3 status.

"Our small group of experienced animal rescue workers recognized the need to address the friendly stray (non-feral) population living on the streets," said the rescue's website. "We intake these unfortunate animals, provide them with complete veterinary care, and place them in our foster care program."

The pets are then either raised by "foster parents" or a new forever home is located for them.
"We work strictly out of foster care homes, where our rescued animals are raised and cared for as our own," said the organization's site. "Unlike large shelters, our animals are in cageless environments. This affords us great insight into the temperaments, personalities and interactions with other animals."
